Our Journeys is a collection of stories that brings their voices to the forefront, honoring the resilience, sacrifices, and enduring spirit of those uprooted by war. Through deeply personal narratives and powerful images, this book bears witness to the extraordinary courage of the Vietnamese diaspora—stories often overlooked by history but carried forward through generations. This collection ensures that these legacies are not only remembered but preserved, shared, and honored for years to come.
VBP Conversation Cards
The Conversation cards was created to empower those interested in capturing and preserving the stories of the Vietnamese community. It is meant to be shared as a fun activity for two people, a small group or an entire family. It includes a set of questions in four categories to help spark conversations and stories, a list of major historical events to provide context and the basics on how to record the conversations to preserve it. The development of the Conversation Cards was supported by a grant from the NJ Council for the Humanities.
A Conversation Journal (Hardcover)
The Journal is designed to empower individuals to embark on the transformative journey of collecting and preserving family narratives. The journal includes initial questions and prompts thoughtfully organized across different stages to foster discussions around cherished memories, experiences, and reflections. It is an ideal companion to the Vietnamese Boat People Conversation Cards. Upon completion, it is a precious gift for future generations, serving as an invaluable keepsake in the ongoing exploration of family stories.

A set of five thank you cards, art contributed by Vietnamese artists, exclusively for VBP. Send someone a quick thank you note card for their kindness, sacrifices or just because. Each design is printed on high-quality stock paper, with a glossy finish on the front and matte finished on the back for easy writing. The set comes with craft-paper envelopes. 100% of sales will go towards supporting the VBP Our Journeys exhibition tour.
