Our goal is to empower and amplify the voices of the Vietnamese community and encourage people to take part in shaping the narrative. Whether you are are an existing creator or a novice storyteller, we want to help you showcase your stories and record meaningful conversations. Explore our VBP programs below.
Our Journeys Exhibition
“Our Journeys" is a traveling exhibition that debuted in New York City in 2025. This exhibition commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Fall of Saigon, a pivotal moment that marked the end of the war and the beginning of harrowing journeys to freedom for millions of Vietnamese. Rooted in the rich tapestry of intergenerational stories we've collected, the exhibition seeks to bridge generations and foster a deeper understanding of the Vietnamese diaspora experience. Now on a nation-wide tour.
Mỹ Việt Story Slam
An engaging event that provides a platform and an opportunity for storytellers from all over the world, to share their perspective and personal stories through a variety of creative mediums and interpretations. Storytellers are chosen from a nation-wide open call.
Journeys Map
The Journeys Map is a digital community collection, created to encourage intergenerational dialogue, to share stories and histories, and to have a space to contribute photos, artifacts and memories. Submit your story for free!
Community Recordings
We partner with local organizations to record stories on site! It's free to record and share your story. Check out our local cities collection on the Journeys Map.
Storytelling Events
We host a variety of events both in-person and virtually -- from author talks to film screenings, from writing workshops to story sharing, and everything in between!

Our blog is a collection of original short stories, journal entries, poems and creative writings contributed by community members from all over the world.
Ambassador Program
The VBP Ambassador program is a volunteer-based role with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and be part of shaping the narrative for the Vietnamese community. Ambassadors engage in community outreach and content creation, and become advocates of the VBP mission within their local communities.
