In celebration of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage month, we will showcase Storytellers selected from a nationwide open-call to share their Vietnamese American stories on a live virtual platform.

 

You might laugh, cry or be in total shock by the stories...either way, you will be entertained.

 

Clips from the PBS documentary Asian Americans, focusing on the Vietnamese-American experience, will also be shared.

Tune in for a special live stream videocast with award-winning independent film and commercial director Bao Nguyen. Bao’s recent documentary BE WATER, which chronicles the life of the legendary Bruce Lee, made its world premiere at the 2020 Sundance Film Festival and soon to air on ESPN.

 

Join us as host Tracey Nguyen Mang chats with Bao about his family's history, his professional experiences and Asian Americans in Hollywood.
